Thank you, once again, Maestro...for your exacting musicality and leadership in bringing everyone - orchestra, choir and soloists - into a sublime proclamation of the the Good News; and for your goal to gift this work to the Michigan City Community! As a choir member I cherished every note - from the first chord of the orchestra to Matthew Daniel’s very consoling “Comfort Ye”, , Kristen Gornstein’s heart-rending “He was despised”, Bill McMurray’s stirring “Why do the nations …?” and Kimberly Jones’ very reassuring “I know that my Redeemer liveth” ending with the choral “Worthy is the Lamb" to the final “Amen!”. And we cannot forget the hit tune - the Bass-Trumpet duo “The Trumpet shall sound”!

You may not believe this but today I'm just coming down from our Sun. P.M. performance of Messiah. It was wonderful and again I hated to see it end. I want to thank you sincerely for all you do to make it what it has become. You have heightened our musical accomplishment to new plateaus. I thank you for that. I have said this before and I'll say it again - - - - Your conducting is a work of art - - Your direction is clear and decisive. It's like a ballet.. Honoring me was extra special and I shall have it in my memory for many many years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
