Dear Patrons and Lovers of the Arts,
Michigan City Messiah has suspended until further notice, all rehearsal and performance activities in cooperation with community-wide efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
We will be dissiminating information to the public regarding our activities as it seems necessary and apporporiate. In the meantime, we will be releasing to the public, short excerpts from previous performances to keep the music alive in your heart and mind.
Nothing can replace a live performance, but over the past several years we have made audio recordings of our amazing performances. We will do our best to lift up the community, the artists and the magnificet composition MESSIAH to a glorious place.
As Easter approaches, the glorious arias from Part Three ring with such resonance!
“I know my that my Redeemer liveth”
“The Trumpet Shall Sound”
“O death where is thy sting”
“If God be for us, who can be against us”
“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain”
“Amen”
In this time of self-isolation, social distancing and silent performances, please consider supporting MCMessiah in whatever way feels right to you so we can raise our voices in song once again.
As a treasured musical icon, we look forward to the opportunity to bring our “Gift to the community.“
May you stay healhy, safe and loved,
Phil
